β¦Presents Brand New Car to Former Council Leader
The Executive Chairman of Etim Ekpo Local Government Area, Gideon Uwa, has again reaffirmed his administrationβs commitment to God-centered leadership and spiritual rejuvenation as the council hosted the May edition of βEtim Ekpo Praysβ at the council secretariat on Friday 8th May, 2026.
Delivering a sermon on the theme, βHeβll Always Be With You,β drawn from Deuteronomy 31:8 (ESV), an Etim Ekpo-born clergy based in Port Harcourt, Bishop Samuel Akpan, charged the people to remain steadfast in faith, emphasizing that Godβs presence remains constant even in difficult seasons.
Responding to the sermon, Uwa, flanked by his political father, Emmanuel Enoidem SAN; Vice Chairman of Council, Hon. (Mrs) Choice Friday Akpan and other council officials, described the message as timely and impactful, noting that the monthly prayer gathering has become a critical spiritual foundation for his administration.
Shortly after the service, the council boss presented a brand new car to former Leader of Council, Hon. Joseph Jim, in appreciation of his unwavering support, loyalty, and contributions to the stability and progress of the administration since inception.
In his response, Hon. Jim expressed profound gratitude to the chairman for the unexpected gesture and pledged his continued support towards the realization of the chairmanβs developmental vision for Etim Ekpo.
The chairman later attended the funeral service of late Mrs. Patricia Friday Daniel, mother of Mr. Ofonime Friday Daniel (Big Boss), a member of the Good Governance Team at Utu Ilung Akpan Udom Village, before proceeding to inspect ongoing construction work at the cold room facility of the Etim Ekpo Ultra-Modern Market.
