Rt. Hon. Bob Otobong, member representing Nsit Ubium State Constituency; Hon. Itoro Etim of Uruan State Constituency; and Prince Aniefiok Attah of Nsit Atai State Constituency have emerged winners in the just-concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primaries.

Senator Effiong Bob, leader of Uyo Senatorial District, attributed the massive turnout of party faithful during the APC House of Assembly primaries to quality leadership and effective representation in the state.

Senator Bob stated this shortly after participating in the primaries held at Ubium North Ward III, where Hon. Otobong Bob was overwhelmingly nominated for a third term in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.

He described the exercise as a “homecoming,” noting that the people were satisfied with the progress being recorded in the state under the leadership of Governor Umo Eno.

The senator expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the primaries, attributing it to the governor’s inclusive and peace driven leadership style. He also commended party faithful for their impressive turnout.

Senator Bob emphasized that the APC remains firmly rooted in Nsit Ubium and across Akwa Ibom State, expressing confidence that the party would consolidate on its current progress and secure victory in the 2027 elections.

In his remarks, Hon. Otobong Bob expressed gratitude to the people for their trust and confidence in him.

He described Governor Umo Eno as his number one supporter and thanked him for his unwavering support, while assuring constituents of his commitment to work harder in advancing their interests in the State House of Assembly.

Speaking on the strength of the APC in Akwa Ibom, the lawmaker noted that with the migration of political structures from his former party into the APC, the party is now stronger and better positioned for victory in 2027.

He assured the people of Nsit Ubium of more effective representation in his third term, promising to build on the achievements recorded over the past seven years.

Also speaking, the member representing Uruan State Constituency, Hon. Itoro Etim, commended Governor Umo Eno for institutionalizing political peace across the state.

She noted that the governor’s leadership style was worthy of study, suggesting that a leadership model, which she termed “Umoenoism,” could emerge before 2031.

Hon. Etim, who also emerged as the sole APC candidate for Uruan State Constituency, said it was unprecedented for party primaries to be conducted across the state without violence or conflict.

She particularly praised the governor for eliminating the burden of camping delegates and the high cost often associated with securing party tickets.

She pledged to redouble her efforts in her second term to ensure effective and impactful representation.

In Nsit Atai, the incumbent lawmaker, Prince-aniefiok Attah, who also secured the APC ticket, expressed gratitude to God and Governor Umo Eno for making his return to the State Assembly possible.

He acknowledged that his re-election bid initially seemed uncertain, but credited the governor’s leadership for making it achievable.

Prince Attah commended Governor Umo Eno’s foresight in aligning with the APC early, saying it had positioned the state to play a strategic role in party affairs.

He described the large turnout during the primaries as a clear indication of the APC’s growing acceptance in Akwa Ibom State and expressed optimism about a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

The lawmaker further assured constituents that, as a ranking member in his next term, he would leverage his position to attract more opportunities and deliver even more effective representation than in his first term
